Urodynamic Testing

Urodynamics tests are tests performed by our doctors that are used to discover how well the bladder, sphincters, and urethra are storing and releasing urine and can be used to determine and diagnose a urinary tract problem such as overactive bladder or stress incontinence and offer insight into how best to treat this potential disorder.

We have a variety of tests that may be performed and it’s important to note that most tests do not require you to make special preparations pre-test. However, a few tests may require you to come to the office with a full bladder, change your fluid intake, or stop taking certain medications. Some of the Urodynamics tests we perform are:

  • Uroflowmetry
  • Postvoid residual measurement
  • Cystometric test
  • Leak point pressure measurement
  • Pressure flow study
  • Electromyography
  • Video urodynamic tests
